Snippets: 500 goes on sale in December, sweaters, autographs
Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has confirmed the Fiat 500 minicar will go on sale in the U.S. in December of this year.
Automotive News reports Marchionne doesn’t wear the same black sweater every day but buys them online a dozen at a time. The Italian-Canadan executive said the crew-neck sweaters are approved garb for Chrysler employee wear but recommends they select another color, saying, “Exact emulation is not advisable; otherwise I may think it’s an imposter and shoot them.” No mention was made of Marchionne’s preferred brand.

About 300 A-list stars, including Tom Hanks, Drew Barrymore and Ryan Kwanten, signed a white Chrysler 300C sedan donated by Chrysler-brand CEO Olivier Francois at the Golden Globe ceremonies in Hollywood. Francois also signed the car along the top of the left fender. The car will be auctioned with the proceeds going to the Red Cross to help with its Haitian relief efforts.
