Jeep summer sales sizzle in Europe
Fiat SpA, which distributes Chrysler and Jeep vehicles in Europe, reports that Jeep sales soared during the summer as more than 2,400 new vehicles were registered in July (+140.6%) and 1,600 in August (+134.4%). Year-to-date, nearly 15,000 Jeep vehicles have been sold, representing a 46% increase over 2010. In August, Jeep recorded gains in all major markets: +193% in Italy, +145% in Germany, +254.9% in France, +25% in the UK and +117.3% in Spain.
