Mopar on display in Italy
How do you say “Mopar® or no car” in Italian? Mopar o nessun’auto!
Mopar will showcase its latest accessories at the 2011 Bologna Motor Show beginning Saturday, December 3 and running through Sunday, December 11. Following Mopar’s tradition of accessorizing vehicles at auto shows, the company will display a “Moparized” Jeep® Wrangler and Fiat 500.
“With more than 280,000 parts and accessories distributed in more than 120 countries, Mopar has a significant global presence,” said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar. “Through our partnership with Fiat, we will continue to expand our reach and fully leverage our service, parts and customer-care brand throughout the world.
Jeep Wrangler is already one of our most accessorized vehicles,” said Gorlier. “Through the Mopar-Fiat partnership, we want to have the same accessorization success for the Fiat 500, which is the perfect canvas for personalization.”
For each of the two vehicles, Accessorization Stations will be staged at the Fiat Group Automobiles Parts and Service stand. Every two hours, mechanics will transform Jeep Wrangler and Fiat 500 into fully accessorized vehicles. In addition, attendees may frame sections of display vehicles with an iPad2 and see what the vehicle would look like with different accessories. Visitors may also put on a special virtual reality viewer and experience 360-degree views of fully accessorized vehicle interiors.
The “Moparized” Wrangler will feature the following accessories: premium front and rear off-road bumpers, tubular half doors, two-inch lift kit, side steps, low-restriction muffler, alloy wheels, winch, soft top, snorkel, fuel-cap cover, and spare tire cover
The Fiat will be treated to the following accessories: Rear carrier system, 16-inch alloy wheels, 500 badge on lateral moulding, Chrome A-bar, Chrome bonnet hood spear, Front and rear chrome moulding, Carbon mirror cover, Italian badge, and Abarth spoiler
