Looks like new wheels on the fronts of both cars there, so the other non-camo'd car must be a powertrain mule at the least, and possibly suspension? Hard to tell really.
Also, the headlight design really does look like the hotwheels setup, the way it was shown in the :"teaser" just gave hints of the shape/orientation, but in sort of a misleading way. They are more Ferarri'ish than the typical horizontal Viper style from the looks of it.
Lots of electronics on it as well. Can anyone read what it says on the trunk of the camo car in the picture where they are covering it up? something Rosso 23.... Italian designations for an American road test car? Vellllly intelesting.....
The center digital gauge reminds me of the one in the Aventador. Looks like a 8.4" center screen. Looks like it may be a 100% digital interior. Man, I wish they would have had the hood open. The wait is driving me crazy.
It's probably similar to the 458, digital screens on both sides and an analog speedo(or tach in the 458's case), it looks like the speedo has a physical needle, especially when contrasted to the digital tach.
Anybody notice the closeup of the center stack? Don't know if that climate control placement is final but it looks to be a different unit than anything I've seen.
KGP caught an SRT Viper, with a good clear shot of the interior -- some of which is probably final, and some of which is clearly not. This is a closeup -- for the full shot, see our 2013 Viper page. Glenn Paulina wrote: "We tracked down a new Viper development team testing a mule for the eagerly-awaited, oft-teased model. We managed to get some fresh interior shots, showing some new details that will make their way into next Viper. Before the tester could raise his interior camouflage, we documented the Viper's fully-digital, arcade-style instrumentation--complete with a speedometer reading up to 220 mph. The digital tachometer is also visible. "A new LCD display also sits low on this mule's center stack, which shows some form of radio/audio interface on the screen, and could also easily include a navigation system. Its placement is clearly not final in this chopped-up mule,..
OK I noticed something and I would like some of the insiders to give me a hand with it if they are allowed.
On the back of the camo mule, there is TZ3 CORSA PROVA USA. Which Google translate tells me is TZ3 Test Run USA. Are all of the mules using Italian nomenclature? It just seems odd that they would have Italian on the back of the car that is for US production, and being tested in the US. Is it possible that this might be a mule for a possible Maserati? Wasn't there rumors about Viper and Maserati sharing a platform at one point?

I find it "interesting" that they would leave that so prominently displayed on the trunk.
The TZ3 (Corsa and Stradale) are cars developed by Zagato using the ACR as the starting point. They have a carbon fiber tub mated to a steel chassis, dressed with hand formed aluminum panels.
Here is a link to the cars http://www.autoblog.it/post/32879/tz3-stradale-zagato
As for sharing and development, I would think that the performance brands of FIAT-Chrysler (barred Ferrari) will have both a hand in the development and a go at creating their own version of any platform and architecture that we'll see coming out. And yes, reportedly Maserati guys have been seen stateside, and "Viper" mules have been spotted testing in Italy.

Well now we know that the headlights resemble like the ones in the Hot Wheels model. And at least they'll be keeping the Dodge crosshair grill. Maybe like the Dart and F-458, it'll have the option of electronic or traditional speedometer.
Lol, I'm laughing at the comments from Autoblog. When will they realize that SRT won't show the entire interior or exterior of the car.
I wouldn't be surprised if SRT are using a few parts here and there that both Maserati and Ferrari use. It would be awesome if the Viper sounded a bit "Italian" like a F1 racer, though I doubt it.
The gauge cluster looks identical to what is coming in the Dart. The interior will actually technology wise share a lot with what the Dart is doing.. the 7 inch TFT screen in the cluster and the 8.4 with full SRT instrumentation in the middle. that being said, the TFT in the Viper skews a little more to the performance side of things than the eco side.
I like how they put a V in the crosshair grill...if that is the actual front. But, wether its legitimate or not is the better question. I kind like it, its got some style. But I'm not gonna put any judgement on it other than that till I see the whole car in a month or so.
