Charger and 300 Hemi 8-speed coming?

Dealers might be able to start ordering Chrysler 300s and Dodge Chargers with the HEMI engine and the new eight-speed automatic trasmission in mid-February. One Allpar source suggested that the gas mileage would be 18 city, 29 highway — though this has been unconfirmed. The Pentastar V6, with the same transmission, is rated at 19 city, 31 highway; the Hemi, while larger and more powerful, does have the advantage of being able to shut off four cylinders when not under a substantial load.
