Fiat has unveiled the FCC4, a vision of a possible SUV, at the São Paolo International Auto Show that opens today at the Anhembi Park Exhibition Hall in São Palo, Brazil.
Designed by Fiat’s Latin American Design Center in Belo …
Well obviously that's a mule. I'm expecting it to look more like the Cherokee in the nose, but with the Fiat bumper setup (more like the concept meets 500)
According to rumors, the compact pickup will be built in an all SUSW platform facility. It sounds like a whole family of vehicles will be coming from Brazil. What comes North of the Rio Grande is anyone's guess.
There is a five slot grille, if you ignore the fact that they are not vertical but slanted. The headlights are definitely Cherokee influenced. The profile is ... well, I saw it in the 1990s, usually on concepts.
Just because it has stacked headlights, doesn't mean it's KL-like. I agree that I see more Evoque than anything. Which doesn't speak SUV to me at all, so if that's the case, glad this has a Fiat badge on it and not Jeep.
Did someone say it has a bit of the Ford Edge to it? No? Well, I see some of that Ford Edge-ness in the concept. Not a lot, but there is that sort of Vibe, for lack of a better word.
Not liking the greenhouse - the ratio of body metal-to-glazed area IS NOT getting it for me. Yeah, I know: It's just a concept rendering.
If I had a series of test renderings of various designs with intended specifications, I would give back a rank ordering of what I liked. This, however, I'm not liking.
I would guess they made it a Fiat concept because it is Brasil and they did not want to go through all the criticism that happened with the Cherokee.
It is Qwerky but I like the concept.

It's a concept and as such it hardly matters what in looks like or what is underneath it at this point. (That stopped mattering 5 years ago)
My comments were prompted by the proclamation by Sergio that Jeeps are now the worldwide brand.
"Jeeps" are popping up under the FCA banner all over the world, regardless of their underpinnings. I simply thought it was inconsistent to call a Jeep-like SUV in Brazil, ...a Fiat.
Norm, my comments weren't in reference to your points. They were just meant to illustrate that concepts often are not to be taken 100% literal in their execution as some posters seen to imply. I'm just more familiar with the Jeep concepts than other brands
I wouldn't be surprised to see the upcoming Dodge D-CUV take on a similar form...
