The Chrysler’s Belvidere, Illinois, assembly plant is scheduled to reopen today. A parts shortage caused the plant, which makes the Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot, to suspend production Tuesday, idling 2,300 workers.

Belvidere (Compass/Caliber/Patriot)
Warren Truck
Toledo Supplier Park and Toledo North (Jeep)
Brampton (LX cars)
Windsor (minivans)
Toluca (PT Cruiser and Journey)

Chrysler has announced it will add shift at the Belvidere, Illinois Assembly Plant to make an additional 10,000 Dodge Calibers this year. Production of the Jeep Compass and Patriot will not be increased.

Chrysler Group is recalling hundreds of employees to resume production at the Belvidere assembly plant. The plant, which builds the Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot, will run today, tomorrow and Friday before breaking for the two-week summer furlough.
