In its latest annual new car ratings, Consumer Reports again named Chrysler as the worst automaker. Chrysler vehicles were rated the worst values in six of the eight categories covered.

Consumer Reports is seldom kind to Chrysler products but apparently its readers disagree, at least in the case of the Dodge Challenger. Five consumer groups, including Consumers Union and the Center for Auto Safety, have asked the Federal Trade Commission to require Chrysler Group to affix new warning labels to used Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles.

Chrysler’s Doug Betts sent a message to Chrysler employees regarding the company’s poor performance on the recent Consumer Reports quality survey. In part, he wrote:
