Nearly 600 dealers, representing almost 25 percent of the total terminated by Chrysler and General Motors, have filed to have their cases appealed though arbitration. The deadline for filing is midnight next Monday and the American Arbitration Association expects as many as 800 dealers to file by then.

J.D. Power’s 2009 sales satisfaction index has been released, and Dodge and Jeep dealers are anchoring the bottom, rated better than just one non-luxury brand – Mitsubishi. Chrysler’s national dealer council filed a motion with the bankruptcy court, objecting to Chrysler’s request to pull franchises from 789 dealerships on June 9.
