The Environmental Protection Agency has approved the use of a 15% ethanol-85% gasoline blend (“E15″) in cars made from 2001 onwards. Automakers and other parties have protested that these vehicles are not designed for E15 and may be damaged; and that owners of older vehicles may accidentally use E15, since the gas nozzles are identical.
