Automotive News is reporting that the Italian government has been chosen DR Motor Co. to take over Fiat’s Termini Imerese plant near Palermo on the island of Sicily. After 41 years, production at Fiat’s Termini Imerese plant will end next Wednesday, November 23. The official announcement came yesterday in a communication to the FIM, FIOM and UILM unions. Chrysler Group and the United Auto Workers union have agreed on terms for a new four-year contract covering approximately 26,000 Chrysler hourly employees.
