Chrysler manufacturing chief Frank Ewasyshyn, who started with Chrysler in 1976 as a maintenance foreman in Ontario and became executive vice president in charge of manufacturing at Chrysler Group in 2004, is retiring at the end of the year, and will be replaced by Scott Gaberding.

Vehicle production got underway again today at seven Chrysler Group assembly plants in North America. The plants had been idle since April 30, when Chrysler LLC entered bankruptcy. The seven facilities are: Sterling Heights, Warren Truck, St. Louis North, Toledo Supplier Park, Brampton, Windsor and Toluca.

Frank Ewasyshyn, Executive Vice President—Manufacturing announced several changes:
Byron Green was appointed Head of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for all assembly product and process activities associated with current and future platforms.
Fred Goedtel Jr. was appointed Head of Assembly Operations, responsible for all assembly plants.
Warren Miller continues as Head of Stamping Operations.
