Chrysler February sales, while still down sharply, were more than sufficient to beat Honda for the No. 4 rank among the major automakers. They also beat industry analyst estimates by a significant margin. American Honda Motor Co., Inc., posted total February vehicle sales of 71,575, down 35.4 percent compared to February 2008, based on the daily selling rate*. Influential research firm J.D. Powers has released a study showing that Dodge could regain fifth place among preferred automotive brands as U.S. light vehicle sales improve in 2010.
