Dodge was named the most improved brand in the latest J.D. Power Automotive Performance Execution and Layout Study. The survey measures new car owners’ satisfaction with the performance, features and layout of their vehicles.

Chrysler-brand vehicles scored above average in the J.D. Powers 2009 Vehicle Dependability Study which surveys owners of 3-year-old light vehicles. With a score of 165 problems per vehicle, Chrysler came in ahead of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo.

Influential research firm J.D. Powers has released a study showing that Dodge could regain fifth place among preferred automotive brands as U.S. light vehicle sales improve in 2010.
