The new Dodge Ram pickup and Jeep Liberty received top ratings in AutoPacific’s 2009 Vehicle Satisfaction Award study. The Ram beat the Ford F-150 in the Large Pickup standings and the Liberty won the Mid-Size SUV category.

Chrysler announced that its October 2008 sales in the United States were 94,530 units, a 35% drop from October 2007. By comparison, GM sales dropped 45%, Toyota 23%, and Ford 32%.

Chrysler LLC announced that it would close the Newark, Delaware, assembly plant earlier than planned, and cut one of the two shifts at Toledo North.
