Chrysler Group LLC will close its Kenosha Engine Plant in early October, eliminating some 575 jobs and ending more than a century of automotive production in the city. About 400 hourly employees from the Chrysler stamping plant in Twinsburg, Ohio will be given an opportunity to come to the Motor City and fill positions at the Warren and Sterling stamping plants. Chrysler LLC announced that it would close the Newark, Delaware, assembly plant earlier than planned, and cut one of the two shifts at Toledo North.
