Frank Ewasyshyn, Executive Vice President—Manufacturing announced several changes:
Byron Green was appointed Head of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for all assembly product and process activities associated with current and future platforms.
Fred Goedtel Jr. was appointed Head of Assembly Operations, responsible for all assembly plants.
Warren Miller continues as Head of Stamping Operations.

The Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) named the new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 as their choice for the “Full-Size Pickup Truck of Texas.” The Ram beat out full-size pickups from Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan, Honda and Toyota. The optional RamBox won the “Best Feature” category in a landslide.

Ralph Gilles, Chrysler’s new v-p of design, says the company will develop distinctive vehicles for each of its three brands. Trevor M. Creed, Chrysler’s 63-year-old Senior V-P of Design, is retiring at the end of this month. Creed came from Ford in 1985 as Director of Interior Design.
