Changes to Chrysler manufacturing, styling

Frank Ewasyshyn, Executive Vice President—Manufacturing announced several changes:

Byron Green was appointed Head of Manufacturing Engineering, responsible for all assembly product and process activities associated with current and future platforms.
Fred Goedtel Jr. was appointed Head of Assembly Operations, responsible for all assembly plants.

Muscle-car era Chrysler Corporation designer John Samsen has assembled a DVD which goes over elements of styling and the vehicles and projects he was involved with. Copies are sold at his Web site.

TAWA names new Dodge Ram “Full-Size Pickup of Texas”

The Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) named the new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 as their choice for the “Full-Size Pickup Truck of Texas.” The Ram beat out full-size pickups from Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan, Honda and Toyota. The optional RamBox won the “Best Feature” category in a landslide.

Trevor Creed era over at Chrysler
