Chrysler replaces lifetime warranty

Viper sticks with Chrysler; Kenosha may go to Fiat

Joe in Harrisburg pointed out that the Viper assets will be acquired by Chrysler Group; and a Fiat subsidiary may acquire the Kenosha plant through a separate 363 sale through an offer option that is good through July 31, 2009. See pages 115 and 116 of the linked PDF.

Devon Motorworks, possible Viper plant owners

Viper bid: $5.5 million

Court documents have revealed a single bid for the Viper, including its assembly plant, coming from Devon Motor Works of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The company has already prepared a car based on the Viper, the Devon GTX. It appears that Chrysler will accept this bid, provided Devon can supply the cash.
