We do not sell auto parts.
While we make every attempt to keep our guides correct and up to date, we cannot promise that every part number, price, or description given in this list is 100% free of error. Note that installing performance parts may void your warranty, result in damage to your vehicle, reduce the safety of your vehicle, or cause failure of emissions tests. You are solely responsible for the consequences of using aftermarket parts of any kind.
Parts sources
We have a long list of sources for Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge cars, trucks, minivans, and engines - click here to visit it.
For factory replacement parts, try using our discount dealer parts locator.
Check out the brake section since good brakes can save your life. (So can good tires).

Performance tips
We have an engine modifications page for the 2.2/2.5 liter TBI (non-turbo) engines, and one for front wheel drive car handling (does not include Neons which have their own performance section). There are A-body mods at valiant.org.
You might be interested in an article on racing your front wheel drive car!
Cars we have researched
- The Dodge Daytona
- The Dodge Spirit/Plymouth Acclaim/AA body LeBaron / export Chrysler Saratoga
- The Dodge Shadow/ Plymouth Sundance and Duster
- Chrysler LeBaron
- Dodge Avenger/Chrysler Sebring
- Dodge Dynasty
- We also carry parts for a large variety of other cars; some applications are noted in the sections below.
We now have sections on these popular (and for good reason) products:
- Better brakes! Click here to read about our superior brake products. We were surprised by the positive feedback we received on the first few we sold...these really seem like a good deal!
- Magnecore wires (see below) - a common replacement item.
- KYB shocks and struts - a popular alternative to Konis, due to their low price. They are not adjustable but are still a reasonably priced handling upgrade.
- Dynomax Street Systems (mufflers plus tailpipes - see below).
- Strut brace. You can adapt a common Nissan strut brace to your car. These can stiffen up your front end nicely without a major investment.
- K&N air filters. These are popular (and prolific) enough to merit their own page. Click here for information and applications.
- Eibach lowering springs and antiroll kits. (Click here for information and applications).
- Competition Cams. These take more time than air filters to install... but from what we hear, they can enhance the 2.2 / 2.5 experience, even for TBI engines!
- Strut tower braces! (See the Shadow page for details).
Magnecore Wires
When replacing your wires, why not upgrade to a higher-quality variety? These are exact replacements for the originals, and will fit in place of the stock wires. No cutting required.

Dynomax Street Systems
These are an excellent package, using the acclaimed Dynomax Super Turbo (or Ultra Flow, it's your choice) muffler with large mandrel-bent tubing. The setup is available for these Mopars (cost is about $100 plus shipping, except for the Neon, which is about $150). Make sure they throw in a reducer (part 35253) for your convenience (not available or needed on Neons).
The street system, according to people who have installed it, gives a nicer tone - not too loud, but deeper and more mellow. It looks like stock unit, and comes with mounts, clamps, and a tailpipe. It is not a catback system, but it's close.
- Part 17488:
- 84-86 Laser 2.2 & 2.5
- 84-91 Daytona 2.2 & 2.5, including Shelby, ES, IROC
- 86-89 Lancer/LeBaron GTS 2.2 & 2.5, including Pacifica]
- 87-94 Shadow/Sundance 2.2 & 2.5
- 95-98 Neon 2.0
Part 17488 includes the over-axle pipe, muffler, and tailpipe; the extension pipe, which on turbo cars (and some V6 models) is part of the catalytic converter, remains stock.
According to Benjamin Hook, since Dynomax only offers the rear section of the exhaust, a Dynasty and an Acclaim would interchange, if a system was available. However, Dynomax part 43262 (over-axle pipe) will fit any EEK, except minivans. "It orients the muffler straight out the rear of the car, instead of towards the left rear corner like on AA and K bodies, giving a better performance look." Bejamin said he has used this pipe with good results on Spirits, Daytonas, Omnis, Sundances and Reliants.
