Website writing and maintenance

The fun part of having a web site is writing new material, forging ahead with new pages, and covering new ground.

One of the less fun parts - aside from security, dealing with loons, and such - is maintenance, as in updating 1,200 or so pages with the corrections and additions that stream in every day. Not particularly fun, but absolutely essential.

Inaccuracy is inevitable, and made worse by the problems of recordkeeping and communication within the old Chrysler Corporation itself, which often made official records or marketing materials wrong - sometimes in obvious ways, sometimes in more subtle ways. Then there is always the failure of memory, and cases where someone buys a used vehicle and assumes it came that way from the factory, and many other issues that come up. We take the liberal point of view that by inviting discussion and debate, we can try to arrive at the truth - and generally that seems to be the case.

In any case, though we don’t have a lot of new articles this week, we did put in lots of small additions and corrections, and Allpar moved one more inch towards comprehensive accuracy.

Loons, yes, but then you have your regulars…… LOL! I do wish there were a way that I could help your out with the editing process. Time, distance, and right now a back log of undone work for me as well. Sigh! To be independent!

Distance is really a big one… on the lighter side, my kids will be growing up at some point..

Well, I hope you and I can reach an accord long before that happens!

I can reach an Accord with either the PT or the 300M already.

You are killin’ me here. Should you reach an Accord, I hope you stop before you damage the sheet metal on your fine automobiles! I could also reach an Accord with my T & C except the windshield wipers might stop working, and I wouldn’t be able to see… in a storm, so to speak.

I can’t believe you let me get away with that and not gotten back about it. Too busy is a self imposed sanction…. LOL!
