All-Chrysler registry finally set up

Allpar is finally proud to announce the culmination of years of work - mostly by other people - in the creation of the All-Chrysler Registry.

We have been looking at software for two years to try to find a good package which would handle all our registry needs. We are not 100% of the way there yet, but we are pretty darned close with the Fusion Registry package, which was just released a few days ago.

All existing Garage entries were imported in, but we have a much larger level of detail available now, and would appreciate all readers who own a Chrysler Corporation or Chrylser Group vehicle - or a vehicle “adopted” by the Mopar crowd - to enter their vehicles. We are not infrequently contacted by journalists looking for owners of particular cars, and we would like to be able to invite you to contact them on these occasions. (We never give out your e-mail address or phone number without permission).

At the moment, registering for the forums is unfortunately required to add your vehicle.
The URL is http://www.allpar.com/forums/index.php?&autocom=registry

In the future, we hope to have hidden fields (for phone numbers for rapid contact, for names, for VINs, for “real” email addresses, and such) and better “admin-only” search features.

Your feedback on the system would be appreciated - are we missing some items? Are there cars we didn’t list? Is anything going wrong? But mostly your participation is greatly appreciated and needed.

I like it! The greater detail is neat. So far it all seems to be working; I updated all of the vehicles in my garage without a problem. Interesting that the 41TE/A604 isn’t among the options for transmission. That was the only “gee, I wish I could…” item that I found when updating my entries…

Thanks! I guess I could add that though that would open the door to 545RFE, etc., etc…. a lot of this can of course be inferred. If it’s a four speed auto in a front-drive small car, it’s a 41TE / A604! And if it’s not working, it’s in a minivan! (Just kidding)

Addendum: Make that Charlene Blake’s minivan!

I have a car that has been in the Chrysler Registry for a few years.

    1970 Dodge Challenger R/T power-top convertible w/Hurst 4-speed.

I find it odd that I can never find one of these for sale on any website???

If you want pics, I can forward them.

    Thanks, Larry.
