What would you SRT?
This list (see below) includes all vehicles that DCX is producing now or has been officially announced for production.
The vehicles in bold are already SRT vehicles. I would have to say that DCX has done a very good job picking the vehicles to SRT and the ones not to SRT.
So my question to you guys is that what would you SRT? What vehicles does not deserve the SRT badges? and what vehicles would you suggest to SRT?
Let me say that we will never see a SRT minivan.
The vehicle that I think deserves the SRT treatment that has been overlooked is the Pacifica. That’s right, the Pacifica. Lowering the vehicle, adding some nice SRT rims, stuffing a blown 4.0L engine in it, adding some leather and maybe some wood treatment would do wonders for the vehicle.
The Aspen would be my second choice…it’s gotta roll with the Escalade. Get some 20 to 22 inch rims on that bad boy. Lower it a bit and shove the 6.1L engine in it. You’ll never have to see another Escalade in a rap video again :)
My third vehicle would be the Nitro. Although, I don’t know what they could do to the vehicle because the R/T is pretty much a SRT car. It’s got the rims, lowered, the 4.0L???? What else could they do to it?
And last but not least the Compass. Since the Caliber will be a blown 300hp FWD car, the Compass could be a grand or so more then the SRT4 with the addition of 4WD. Evo/STi here comes the next greatest Rally Car Champion.
Chrysler:
Crossfire
PT Cruiser
Sebring
300
Pacifica
Town & Country
Aspen
Dodge:
Caliber
Stratus
Viper
Charger
Magnum
Caravan
Nitro
Durango
Dakota
Ram
Sprinter
Jeep:
Compass
Wrangler
Liberty
Grand Cherokee
Commander

I think Jeep should make the Compass concept the SRT version. What about a SRT6 Sebring/Stratus…give them the RT/Tsi treatment currently out but change the front/rear some and add the 3.5 v6 that come in the charger. What about a SRT10 Magnum, a 4 door viper hatch.
4 door viper hatch???
Interesting that you stated that we would never see a hotted up mini-van. I think those are the perfect candidates. Liven up the group a whole lot. Why not? Put some great suspension pieces in there and let ‘em rip.
‘em rip
Magnum SRT10 = viper hatch
Gotcha Caliber SRT4.
Who would the SRT minivan be targeted to Curtis?
Who would you see buying this particular vehicle?
I see dads that have wives that want a minivan with many kids driving a Grand Caravan SRT
Shove a 6.1 HEMI in a Dakota and hold on for a THRILL RIDE!!!
So my comment is why not SRT Minivans?
I’m not a soccor-mom, I am a Mopar man - I have only owned Chrysler products (36+ yrs).
While a Minivan was not my first choice - the physical size of the vehicle, desired features
and ability to fit into the vehicle prevailed (a Minivan has headroom, like a truck & the ability to haul more than 2 passendgers, without giving ease-of-use).
In the Mopar Magazine - Stratus - said in 2002/2003 that the interior designer of the Viper used his T&C as his track car - he upped the ponies, added larger sway bars and lowered the suspension - doing so surprised many sports car fans in that his Minivan could outrun them.
So I look for a more powerful minivan from Dodge - 300-350 HP, maybe a 5 spd auto (since I just know they won’t put in a manual), a (what we used to call) low rear axle ratio, AWD, modified suspension and aggressive styling to go with it all.
It would also be nice if they made it available in a Caravan Cargo Van without stripping out all the passenger van carpeting, headliners, etc. Some of us would like to have a custom van again.
It would be difficult to assess who would buy a hotted up mini van, but you never know. I would certainly entertain the idea. I believe it would appeal across the spectrum, from the retiree who wanted a little more verve in the ol’ grocery getter, to the young people that might want to get to the local drive in a little faster. And all in between.
Great discussion guys. Thinking outside of the box is always invited.
I would be worried that a minivan could possibly water down the entire SRT sub-brand.
Aggressive, cool, the best preformance for the best price.
However, we should hold our thoughts on the SRT minivan.
The new spy pics that allpar.com has of the vehicle shows that the styling direction has changed.
They do appear to have harder lines and a more aggressive stands to them.
I will at least wait to see if the new minivans are SRT-able when they debut next year.
You are right in holding back the mimi van. They are in a class of their own. Leave the SRT line up with only the “HOT ROD” type vehicles, namely the V-10 and the V-8 engines!!!
Holding back is for the faint hearted. It is not thinking outside the box. Why not a hot van? Certainly would be in line to generate some interest in getting people inside the showroom to at least look at it. It is NOT a new idea. There have been other packages that have added verve to the box. Whenever Chrysler thought “outside” good things happened, such as the original 300, the Fury, the Road Runner and Super Bee, and the original Charger. There are more. Go mini go!!
Actually, that last comment was mine. New format that I didn’t think would affect the post.
A CHRYSLER IMPERIAL SRT12
So Elefunt Man
Leave the SRT line up with only the “HOT ROD” type vehicles, namely the V-10 and the V-8 engines!!!
Where does that leave the 300 HP SRT4 Caliber and the SRT6 Crossfire.
CanadianJeep YJ : I would be worried that a minivan could possibly water down the entire SRT sub-brand.
And an SRT version of the Caliber does not?
SRT CUMMINGS WHITE FREIGHTLINER SLEEPER CAB
But by creating an SRT minivan which by definition is thinking outside the box, in my opinion will back fire and not only hurt the brand by hurt DCX as a whole. It is the same type of thinking that brought down the SSR and the new Thunderbird. They may look great on paper but they don’t have a chance in the real world.
Hmm. A hopped up minivan is intriguing. I do wonder if it would water down the SRT badge though.
That does not mean a hopped up minivan is off the table though; the PT doesn’t have an SRT version but it does have a 230 hp turbo option. Who says every ‘hi-po’ vehicle has to wear the SRT badge? I also agree with the cargo van ideal. Both would offer something not available elsewhere.
anyone remember the caravan r/t concept in motor trend years back with the viper hood treatment? i beleive it was 99 in the same issue we first saw the charger concept in. i think a mini van would be hot! but maybe instead of the srt badge, the could resurect the name streetvan. i had a 78
Rich, I would bet you that when the PT moves to the Caliber platform that it will receive the SRT treatment.
I guess we will have to wait a could of years to see if it comes true.
To test out the minivan SRT idea, I would shove a blown engine in side of a Caravan R/T and watch the sales of it very closely.
That would make two SRT-4 models, as they always use the cylinder count.
They certainly wouldn’t have two similar vehicles with the same name. Oh, wait…nevermind.
It’s exactly the experience with the Dodge/Plymouth Neon (and don’t forget the Dodge/Plymouth Colt either) which would make me beg and plead they NOT slap an SRT badge on the next PT. They *already have* the GT. They don’t need to change it.
Er, now I realize there’s already multiple SRT-8 models but…oh well :)
I still nix a PT SRT because they already have a GT. I think the SRT name becomes less special if you slap it on too many vehicles. Best to keep it more exclusive rather than less.
Sure the have the 230h GT…but you wouldn’t want a 300hp SRT PT???
Unbelieveable. An SRT Caliber doesn’t water downt he SRT image, but an SRT mini van would? That isn’t CEO thinking. The brand is already watered down, such as sticking “Super Bee” decals on an SRT Dodge Charger and hoping someone will buy off on it. Pumping up a PT to a 300 HP SRT does water it down! It would not do the same thing for a mini! It is after all a specialized vehicle, and you will pay the price for the goodies that make it go fast and handle right. Worth the extra to have a truly special vehicle. Try to get over the soccor mom, grocery getter, young family, old retiree images here. Build it and they will come.
What is really missing from the SRT lineup is an SRT-6 that someone can afford… why not do a version of the Stratus (or its replacement)? Just imagine, twin turbos… don’t use the supercharged engine out of the crossfire… use something different.
I believe (could be wrong though) that the Avenger or Stratus will have an SRT trim level.
Wait to see the new Sebring come this summer.
The PT GT is already established. Sure, make the next one 300 hp. But call it the GT. The Caliber SRT-4 takes over for the Neon SRT-4; makes sense to me. I’d rather the PT be set apart from the Caliber as much as possible.
I would buy an SRT van without hesitation. Then I would find a used crossfire SRT and have the two vehicles I want. The crossfire wouldn’t take well to a 600 mile trip with five cases of wine. But I still want to drive hard and fast. SRT VAN PLEASE!!!
The PT Cruiser GT does not qualify to be an SRT using the “six seconds 0-60″ requirement they seem to have; indeed, while very fast compared with other PTs, it in no way challenges such “competitors” as the Subaru WRX or Mitsu Evo. It’s a great vehicle in its own right, but is more in 300M territory than SRT-8/SRT-4 territory.
I just put a poll in the News and Rumors section asking people
If DCX came to you today to give you keys to one of these SRT vehicles…
What vehicle would you drive away in????
Find the poll here:
http://www.allpar.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75011
This is similar to the question Jeep is facing… are the new less-than-trail-rated Jeeps softening the Jeep image and thus alienating the hard-core Jeep loyalists? IMHO, DC should use the R/T for performance versions of all of their vehicles (larger engine & appearance package) and use the SRT for only the seriously tuned outright performance vehicles (would have to be a significant step up from the R/T version). I think people would be interested in a Caravan in R/T trim, but I don’t see an SRT version doing anything but taking away from what it takes to qualify as an SRT vehicle. Same with the Pacifica.
The one vehicle that I can’t understand why it has not been SRT’d yet is the Dakota… People aren’t expecting towing and hauling capabilities from a pure sport truck, so the Dakota is more suitable than the Ram in almost every way. Not to mention it would be less expensive… I think the 6.1L Hemi tuned to 450HP in the Dakota, with 6-spd manual tranny, a front air dam (to replace the fat lip) and aero package, a hard tonneau cover, and a Nascar Craftsman Truck-style spoiler (not a goofy wing) would be just what is needed to pick up the current low Dakota sales.
Curtis and 55plaza…well, I think I owe you guys an apology.
The poll in the News and Rumors has spoken…well at least to me.
There does seem to be a market (at least in the allpar community) for the SRT minivan.
I think right now it stands 5th or 6th out of 14.
I may be an a crumudgeon at times, but I still remember what it feels like to be young, and young at heart. Please no apology for expressing your opinion, it is the fuel that makes this this run! And least we forget the ALLPAR community represents a great spectrum across out population. At least, I want to think so anyway…. Having a hotted up mini is like the ultimate sleeper in traffic. Who would ever suspect? I get a kick out of dusting Honda Civic boxes with my 3.3 now!
I agree with Curtis, CanadianJeepYJ no need to apologize for your opinion.
Curtis, why just “dusting Honda Civic boxes with my 3.3 now!”
A good buddy of mine (who does not drive Mopar) built his #1 son a ‘68 Charger 383
and his #2 son a ‘70 Charger 318. Going out of town after I got my 3.3 I passed the #2 son’s ‘70 Charger,
out-accelerating him to 100 Km (our speed limit). He then passed me (becuase his passengers felt that
a minivan shouldn’t passing a Charger). I then blew past him. Later at his house I told him, I won’t try dragging his brothers 383, but I too many 318s not to know I was faster. After that it has been suprised Camaro, Mustang, and several more powerful cars than Civics that get dusted - especially in stoplight drags.
But I’d still like more power and a SRT-6 Caravan especially if it was a Cargo Van.
Not sure it qualifies as an SRT, but I would like to see a PT with the AWD hemi running gear out of the 300 or Magnum. To maintain brand purity and add some uniqueness, call it a PT Bruiser. DCX would only have to change 1 letter in 3 places on the car and it would be a bigger sleeper than the original Road Runner. I own an 05 Cruiser and it is a great little car that I would be loath to part with, but I wish it would keep up with my 64 Valiant.
As far as the Dakota goes, it does need a boost in the performance area. The H.O. 4.7L isn’t cutting it as far as I’m concerned, well the Dakota is a heavy little truck. Yes the 5.7L does indeed fit perfectly in the Dakota, which would be more than sufficient for SRT status, but DC won’t put in there because it’s the “Halo” motor for the Ram. Don’t expect the Dakota to do anymore more than just cruise along until it’s redesigned. And stuffing the 6.1 in there won’t happen in a million years. And the fat lip on the new Dakota is there because of the new replaceable frame tips, don’t expect that bumper on that or the Durango to change shape anytime soon.
BTW I liked the ‘55 and the Plaza car had a special place, but that is in my history elsewhere. I don’t know why I choose the Honda so much. Perhaps it is the “snotty” sort of attitude that I get the feeling that some of the drivers exhibit when they pull up alongside you. LOL! They can’t look “down” at you, but you know what that feeling is. Yes, the 3.3 would be a match for a 318, no doubt. I wouldn’t put any money on going up against a 383 however, as you said. DAVE had a good idea about a PT, ala the BRUISER, and that would be the tonque in cheek sort of thing a Plymouth guy would come up with. I think we could get away with not calling that car an SRT model, however, it would create a whole category in itself. Also, DAKOTA, I agree that the 4.7 doesn’t make it. Think how I feel with a 3.7! But, then the Dakota has missed it’s mark, and hardly qualifies for a “mid” sized p/u anymore. Putting a 5.7 Hemi in it would disspell all doubt that this vehicle is a heavy weight and is competing with the RAM.
“A CHRYSLER IMPERIAL SRT12″>>ricko
That’s a very brilliant idea and I completely agree with ricko. I really love everything in Chrysler group, but I beleive they should redesing the V10, because it’s too big. I saw in Hemi.com an engine that makes 610 hp, why not replace with the V10 8.3L, but I don’t have an idea about if it’s a V10 or a V8. I like the Firepower, and I like its name. Also it need maybe a turbocharged 6.1L engine, to make about 550+ and be compared with the Aston Martin and the Bently GT. And why afraid of luxury? I think it’s ok to upgrade it with power and luxury, and costs about 90-70k $. The rims would be better if not chromed, because of the rims’ design. Let me make what the list I like:
Jeep GC SRT-8 with 450+ hp, or anything makes it the ultimate again, and more upgrades for its interior, specially the doors.
Chrysler ME 4-12 SRT-12 with 850+ hp to enlarge its distance between it and Veyron(a Chrysler made v12 not AMG) (if I have the choice will name it
Chrysler Imperial SRT12 longer and more luxurious than the regular, to be in the Rolls-Roys+Maybach Class.
Chrysler Meteor SRT12)
Dodge Claiber SRT4, I think it’s kinda perfect for its market.
Jeep Compass SRT4 with 300+ hp which makes it faster than STI+Evo.
Dodge Charger SRT8 + Magnum SRT8, no comments.
Chrysler 300C SRT8 + SRT10 (to compare it with BMW M5), but neeeds more upgrades for its interior, as well as 300C Limited, specially the doors.
Dodge Viper SRT10 or SRT12 with 600+ hp and improve its looks a little.
Dodge Ram SRT10, it’s ok but try not to make it faster than GC SRT8.
Chrysler Firepower SRT8 or SRT10 or SRT12 with 550+ hp (should not be faster than Viper) and be luxurious.
Chrysler Crossfire SRT6, needs more attractive look from the rear side, and just a little more power, and more upgrades for the interior.
Dodge Challenger SRT8 with the same engine for GC 450+ hp, and I beleive that it should be more modern (exterior I mean only).
Jeep Hurricane SRT16 (2 Hemi 5.7L), with a base price of 70k and limited-editioned or for special orders.
Did I miss something? I don’t think so. sorry for being boring, but I really love Chrysler group specially Jeep. We’ve bought 4 Jeep Grand Cherokees, 96 limited+ 97 Limited+ 97 Laredo+ 2000 Limited, and we sold 2 of them. I Hope that I can buy the GC SRT8, which will make a 3 generations garage, lol. Sorry for this Big Comments, bye.
I’m not the PT BRuiser David by the way…I don’t think that would work so well, the AWD would add weight whicih would overcome the traction advantage I suspect. PT won’t ever be fast enough for SRT-4 status…at least not this generation.
One problem with any Imperial is simple - the same problem VW had with the Phaeton. Who would buy a luxury car from a sleazy, unresponsive, treat-you-like-dirt Chrysler dealer? (I am emphasizing negative aspects of the reputation). It would be like a $70,000 Ford. The Viper can get away with it, as can the Corvette, but only because they are so far ahead of the competition. The Imperial would have to be a Maybach clone to sell for $70,000 and even then it might be a stretch.
And maybe that’s one reason Imperials never sold well.
Sorry, I made mistakes:
Jeep Hurricane SRT16 (2 Hemi 5.7L), with a base price of 80k $ and limited-editioned or for special orders.
Chrysler ME 4-12 SRT-12 with 850+ hp to enlarge its distance between it and Veyron(a Chrysler made v12 not AMG) (if I have the choice will name it Chrysler Meteor SRT12)
and thanks again
Interesting comment about the dealer reputation. It is an excellent point. But, then again, all car companies have the same problem. It just seems that the “taint” sticks with Chrysler more than GM or Ford. I had a friend that worked for a GM store that had garnered franchises to sell ALL GM trucks and cars. He loved to sell Buicks because, as he described it, you would never see them again until they got ready to trade. Yes, Buicks were that good. He really cringed however, to sell a Cadillac, because as sure as it left the lot, the buyer would be back screaming about the many problems that he had with the car. Yes, Cadillac used to be that bad. It might not have been quite so bad for the customer except that the dealer was a “slease bag” who tried to cut corners and shave warranty costs, especially on the high end Cadillac cars. So why would you buy again from this guy? Well, probably the only Caddy place around, and at least you knew up front, from his well earned reputation that he was going to try to screw you up front. Not in all cases, but, unfortunately, for many, experiences for many buyers amount to the old “horse trader” mentality where you get beat up by the sales people. It is not pleasant, nor is it forgotten, especially if you have problems later with the car. It still goes on. There was a Chevrolet dealer to the West of me that had screaming TV ads, bogus bait and switch vehicles, small print in their news ads, and impossible qualification requirements when and IF you dared go there to get a car. As well, the service department was a den of thieves who didn’t even qualify as capable parts changers. It took about 10 years, but GM finally shut the place down when they took the franchise away. The guy that owned it showed up later with a Hyundai store. He managed to screw that up too. I am also aware of a Rolls Royce outlet that was particularly onerous as well. Oh, it was a class act, store front, welcome hosting, kid glove treatment and all. But, in the end, when you got back into the finacne department, you were politely taken to the cleaners, with a big smile and a hearty thank you! Most service calls were performed at an exorbitant cost, and not satisfactorily staffed with trained technicians, although you would be hard pressed to tell given the great cleanliness of the place and the uniformed presentation of the staff. Yes, he managed to skate for many years, but eventually, he lost out on his franchise as well. So, why get an Imperial from a treat you like dirt sleasy Chrysler dealer? Hey, why indeed? Check them out first. Should the Imperial get launched, DCX hopefully will insure that the places that get the franchise will be places that look to seeing you return as a customer not a plaintiff.
Definately drop the number and just call it SRT imho.
An Avenger with the Caliber SRT engine would rock, and how about making a v-10 300c or charger?
No SRT minivan, huh? You just might want to rethink that….I am giving 2:1 in favor of it since the Rampage was shown.
Yeup. I knew I was right in the SRT Mini. It would rev up the segment, and probably sell like hot cakes on a Sunday breakfast at church…… or a buffet.
An SRT8 LX body with 6.1 HEMI & a six speeds manual trans with awd! Either a charger, Magnum or a 300. Also a SRT Hornet
Also how abou a SRT4 Compass with the new turbo 4cly that is found in the SRT Caliber. It would go upwith a Subaru or an evo!!!!
I’ll take that bet Bob Sheaves.
How’s about 20 bucks?
I’ll even give you 3 years?
What do you think?
An SRT minivan…it’d be about time. And with a stick-shift. I’d seriously consider that… seriously, there’s an opportunity just waiting to be taken, reframing the minivan as a hot vehicle and stealing some big-SUV sales.
Curtis, one of the big problems with the VW Phaeton according to people I’ve spoken with - including one guy who bought a Touareg - is that it WAS sold by VW dealers who are no better than Toyota, Ford, Dodge, etc. dealers. I think Saturn might even be able to get away with it but really there’s a reason Toyota made Lexus totally separate - you don’t get the luxury mindset from mass market dealers. Yes, a Rolls dealer might screw customers, but they’ll do it with a respectful, deferential attitude and a clean shop floor.
If Imperial does come back, as with Plymouth, it had darn well better not come back in the current dealer structure unless they have some excellent contracts, feedback mechanisms, training, etc.
As for what I’d SRT next, personally, I’d look at the Caliber for “easy” (given the work on the existing SRT-4) but again for overall sales boosting I’d say MINIVAN. One year from now - Avenger.
Voting has seemed to die off, so lets finally look at the conclusion.
What SRT vehicle would you consider PURCHASING?
1. Caliber SRT4 [ 17 ]……with over 25% of the vote….also the cheapest vehicle to buy
2. Avenger SRT6 [ 11 ]
3. Charger SRT8 [ 8 ]
4. Sebring SRT6 [ 5 ]
4. Grand Cherokee SRT8 [ 5 ]
6. 300 SRT8 [ 4 ]
6. Nitro SRT6 [ 4 ]
8. Caravan SRT6 [ 3 ]
8. Dakota SRT8 [ 3 ]
10. Crossfire SRT6 [ 2 ]
10. Viper SRT10 [ 2 ]
12. Aspen/Durango SRT8 [ 1 ]
12. Compass SRT4 [ 1 ]
14. Pacifica SRT6 [ 0 ]
14. Ram SRT10 [ 0 ]
Two vehicles that had no votes. Pacifica and Ram. Pacifica kinda makes sense since it is not a production SRT vehicle and I guess a reason for the no votes for the Ram could be due to price.
Dodge gathered ~73% of the vehicles votes when Purchasing the cars.
Chrysler had ~17%.
Jeep took home ~10%.
compared to the What is your favorite brand?
Dodge…..60.61%
Chrysler..19.70%
Jeep…….18.18%
1. The people who like chrysler probably picked the 300, Sebring, or Crossfire.
2. 18% of the people Jeep was their favorite brand by only 10% would buy one. Where did their votes go?
3. Their votes seemed to go to the Dodge brand where 60% of people say that Dodge is their favorite brand but the Dodge vehicles gathered 73% of the purchased vehicles vote.
When DCX is giving you the car for free
What SRT vehicle would you consider if given to you for FREE?
1. Viper SRT10 [ 27 ]……with over 40% of the vote….also the most expensive vehicle to buy
2. Charger SRT8 [ 8 ]
3. 300 SRT8 [ 7]
4. Grand Cherokee SRT8 [ 6 ]
4. Ram SRT10 [ 6 ]
6. Aspen/Durango SRT8 [ 3 ]
6. Pacifica SRT6 [ 3 ]
8. Caliber SRT4 [ 2 ]
8. Dakota SRT8 [ 2 ]
10. Compass SRT4 [ 1 ]
10. Caravan SRT6 [ 1 ]
12. Sebring SRT6 [ 0 ]
12. Avenger SRT6 [ 0 ]
12. Nitro SRT6 [ 0 ]
With zero votes. Sebring, Avenger, and Nitro. Reasons???
Dodge gathered ~71% of the vehicles votes when the cars were FREE.
Chrysler had ~19%.
Jeep took home ~10%.
Roughly the same percentage as the last poll. Chrysler gained 2% which was lost by Dodge.
Clear winner of the polls (three winners) IMO.
1. Caliber for being the cheapest yet extremely powerful and versatile to garnish enough votes to come in first place in the first poll.
2. Viper for being the best all round American sports car.
3. Charger who should great standing in both polls. (3rd and 2nd)
Clear losers of the polls
1. Pacifica getting 3 votes in the combined voting (only 2% combined polling)
2. Compass getting 2 votes in the combined voting (only1.5% combined polling)
To make the column an even 50, I will add that this has been a great string. The final results are going to be reflected pretty soon in sales, and the Caliber is going to take off. I hope the rest of DCX gets noticed. The SRT Mini Van is still up there, and I hope that Bob Sheaves wins…. not that I don’t appreciate the work of CandianJeepYJ. He must have a lot of time on his hands between classes. My SRT Mini will kick your SRT Caliber’s butt! LOL!!
Curtis do you know if we will be able to find the sales numbers on the SRT vehicle or will they be tossed into the general numbers of the vehicles? Maybe hemidakota will know that answer.
The count down is on Bob 2 years and 364 more days to go…before I can collect :)
Thanks for the nice comments Curtis.
Luckily I am done with classes. Graduated with my Ph.D. a little while ago.
So why do I have so much time on my hands —-> my computer codes for such take a long time.
My only down times are in between me writing the codes and analyzing the results.
(Which appearantly isn’t a whole lot of time)
A Ph D! Well congratulations. That took a lot more devotion than I would ever had time for! I believe that careful numbers will be kept by CG and DCX. In that respect, history will not repeat itself. Given the litigious society that we dwell in here, exact numbers for exact records will be kept in the event of legal proceedings, not just for fun or need to know.
It is probably a good thing that you made a straight bet with Bob. The interest you would have to pay when HE collects would no doubt be usurious in deep green! {:>|
It really wasn’t about time….I found that I got stuck into the system.
Graduated high school….now what am I going to do?
Went to college…I like physics so I did that.
After my undergraduate….I said to myself Now What???
I applied to become a teacher…I would have had to pay more tuition for 2 more years.
I also applied to do some grad work….that came with 15k a year plus paid tuition.
What is a poor boy going to do? Pay money to become a teacher or to get paid to do the same work I was doing before.
Next thing you know I am trapped in the system woundering who it all came to be.
It is funny on how you life turns out. I never would have expected to have done all of that nor ended up in NM working when I was younger.
I guess life takes you where you need to go.
I think DCX has completely missed the boat with an SRT8 Grand Cherokee by skipping over the oportunity to do a totally useful package like an SRT8 Durango. My main reason for saying so; Utility, utility, utility. The body on frame design of the Durango reins suppreme in everything sacred to trucks and SUV. Safety, structural integrity and tow capacity are just a few benefits. Giving a Durango the SRT treatment while maintaining a useful SUV with an actual towing capacity that would rule and dominate the SS Trailblazer I think would have been a far better way to go. I realize the GC SRT8 dominates the Trailblazer SS in raw performance, but let’s not forget these are supposed to be working “SUV’s” I place a lot of emphasis on the utility meaning of that acronym, because without it why even buy an SUV there’s really no point, when you can soup up any car to go faster, handle better, with better gas mileage for alot less money.
