Allpar demographics

What do I know about you?

You’re less likely to be earning under $30,000 or over $100,000 than the average Internet user - though not that much less likely.

You’re probably male - 2/3 of our audience is.

Chances are you’re over 24 and younger than 65 (65-and-up is our smallest age group with just 8% of visitors). Most other ages have an equal chance of being Allpar visitors.

There’s a really, really good chance you identify as Caucasian. 88% of our visitors do, and I have no good theories as to why. You’re very unlikely to be Asian - only 2% of our viewers are.

It seems that you’re not all that likely to have gone to college - half of our visitors have not.

Geographically, you’re quite likely to live in the United States (76%) or Canada (10%). Within the US, you could be from anywhere, though the Big Four states are California, Texas, New York, and Florida. Though it’s the most densely populated state, New Jersey accounts for just 2.6% of visitors. As far as metro areas, the big ones are New York, LA, Chicago, Detroit, and Philly. But none have a decisive share.

Frankly, I thought more allpar visitors would be from the Midwest, but most of the population is on the coasts and around the Great Lakes, so that’s not as surprising as it could be. Chrysler sales outside the US and Canada have been small for a long time, so no surprise that we get few visitors from outside the US; even where Chrysler had a big share, the overall car market was not that large.

The biggest single contributor of people is the Navy! We also get a lot of visitors from Boeing, Chrysler, General Motors, and various state departments of education.

But how, you may ask, do you compare with the people who visit Toyoland.com, my friend John Brennan’s site, which I set up long ago? Good question. Well, you’re far less likely to exist, but other than that, you’re a little more likely to be a woman; a bit more likely to fall into the $60,000 - $100,000 salary range; much more likely to be Hispanic; less likely to have kids in your house; and more likely to have a college education. I refuse to read anything into that. Toyoland readers are also less likely to live in the US (67%) or Canada (7%), and within the US, MUCH more likely to live in California - 17% of the visitors are from that state! Cally is followed by Texas, Florida, and New York. Once again, the Navy is the largest provider of visitors, followed again by Boeing; and then by Toyota US. I couldn’t find any American car companies represented in the stats, other than GM, way down the list and possibly due to the various Toyota vehicles re-sold by GM.

Should I go back to work now?

Lots of videos now…

Recently, we added lots of videos to the allpar.powertvonline.com site - and a new contributor, lief444, added three classic commercials, too. The easiest way to get there is via our main videos page, since we don’t put them all onto the “New Videos” part of our home page –

In addition to the 300C segment we featured, there’s some great footage of the 1937 Plymouth - showing shots from the factory, engine animations, and the Plymouth speeding through a dirt field, something you’ll never see again, considering how hard it is to find a 1937 Plymouth, much less restore it.

It took a while to get all these videos edited and posted, especially since our Verizon FIOS router crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME we try to upload video. (Now there’s quality for ya!)
