The South Australian police used 1956 [and presumably later] Chrysler Royal V8s. The Chrysler Royal used the U.S. 1953-54 Plymouth body with modern updates such as fins, quad stacked headlights, etc. They have recently restored a replica Chrysler Royal. If you want to read more about this car, send $3 to the Plymouth Club Store, 5505 South Wabash Avenue, Hastings, Nebraska 68901-7747 and request Plymouth Bulletin back issue # 223 March-April 1997. Also available is issue # 193 March-April 1992 that features Plymouth squads from 1932 to 1982. Also $3 per copy.

Israeli generals used to have Valiants; the commander of the Israeli Defense Force had a Dart. The Valiant was a common getaway car for Israeli bank robbers. Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister, had a Polara, which is now in a museum.
