1964 or 1965 426 hemi

    I have a May 1964 426 Hemi engine I need help identifying. 2468330-2 casting 5 4 64 below also on the casting. Stamped on the deck



    AH426HC
    11 10 03 and WT. Any help is appreciated.

    That's the casting number from 1964-1971...Does it have Aluminum heads?

    The A in AH426HC is the year code, and stands for 1965. The engine codes begin with M for 1959, P for '60, R for '61, S for '62, T for '63, V for '64 and A for '65. The number beneath that is build date: 11 is the month (November, probably 1964), 10 is the day, and 03 is the build sequence. Someone else will have to help you with the WT, but it might mean that it was built in Windsor.

    WT stands for water test,i think.
