For any non AMC folks, the Engines weren't those colors.
They could have been. That's back when they actually colored engines.
The Playboy AMX was pink but the Engine was...not!!
1969 amc amx 390 factory playboy pink one of one for sale: photos, technical specifications, description (at http://topclassiccarsforsale.com/amc/37173-1969-amc-amx-390-factory-playboy-pink-one-of-one.html )
Isn't it amazing how empty those engine bays look compared to today's cars?
I hear that!
I bought used a 1969 AMX with the 343 CID and Borg Warner 3-Speed Auto. Wished I had a Hurst AMX 390; but really enjoyed the car.
I ultimately did not obtain, but was rather keen on wanting to purchase a Rebel Machine.
