Hey guys, I just got done bolting in the 2006 into the 99 van, I'm looking for advice and tips in finishing the project, all the mounts lined up great! ive got the power steering hooked up, ive switched the throttle cables and hooked up, I'm down to the electrical... Is there anything that I should be expecting? I will be starting back on it today around 5pm

    Thanks!!

Welcome to Allpar. The 2006 would have on an NGC (next generation controller) powertrain controller and supporting circuitry. The 1999 used the old SBEC (single board engine controller) powertrain controller and isn't really compatible.
You may have to swap the cam sprocket and flexplate to the old style?

Also some of the sensors might of been moved around on the engine. And the mounting for some of the sensors might be cast into the block and heads could of been moved around over the years.

There is a compatibility list of which engines will fit which vehicles.

You are going to be limited by the 1999 electronics. I'm not surprised it fit physically, but I'm worried if it is going to run well, if it even runs.
