Monday December 1st...Pushed up a week.
You're telling me something FCA is doing is ahead of schedule?
Ha ha. Yeah, the minivans dragged out, didn't they?
Have you by chance seen a pre-production unit yet ?
Do we know the embargo date/time for this week's Charger impressions? Not that they'll tell me anything I don't already know from this dance with the Challenger. I really just need final MSRP and invoice pricing for the options and such.
Sooo......what's your opinion........winner ?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say DCAutoWorker prefers to keep his job.
Looks like the 2015 SS is going to run $45745 (43915 invoice) plus 995 for destination. Food for thought. I love the idea of a manual and electromagnetic suspension, but damn. The Scat Pack should come in a few thousand under that once you figure in an option package or two (leather, HIDs, etc).
Not to mention, the SS has nothing on the Charger in aesthetics, and it's down 70hp.
Agreed, the 8 speed Charger R/T Scat Pack should eat the SS for lunch. Even the standard R/T will give it a run for its money.
Mike, do you think Chevy will up the ante with the SS at some point or just let it be, then quietly drop the model?
I think we got what we got and that's all that we got. I give the SS two more model years.
It's a really nice car inside, the "Chevy" styling is incredibly boring and the car is too easily mistaken for a run of the mill Malibu.
The Commodore, it's down under brother, has cool spoilers, stripes, and better tail lights.
Ha sit ever been determined what is happening to the Commodore with GM announcing they are leaving Australian production?
I've heard it may move to US production with exports to Australia. Or will the car just go away? And what about other related products?
Unconfirmed... But rumors are the V8 rear drive days are done down under.
Much like the second coming of the GTO. It's deja vu all over again.
It will be a sad, sad day when the last of the RWD V8's are made in the land of Oz.
Countdown clock is ticking...
Yes. It was predicted here.
2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: The World's Quickest and Fastest Sedan
"At the recent press launch and road test of the new Charger SRT Hellcat we heard from Dodge’s modern-day president, Tim Kuniskis.
He talked about what drove the decision to build a 707 horsepower sedan in a world seemingly more concerned with carbon footprints than smoky burnouts.
Tim’s quote when Dodge announced this Hellcat back in August, a quote which Tim admits caused some heat within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, stated that, “Sometimes you need to ignore the data, disregard the focus groups, and just build a car that defines itself.”
He went on to say the 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat not only defines itself but defines the entire Dodge brand.
While that may sound like a marketing catchphrase, it’s important to remember the mission Sergio Marchionne laid out for Dodge last spring.
Dodge now serves as Chrysler Group’s official performance brand.
This role explains not only the attitude seen in these latest commercials but also the release of a second Dodge product in the last 6 months with a 700-plus horsepower engine."
Wow. I love the Challenger but this beauty just looks epic.
Anybody know when Dodge will release pricing on the 2015 Charger? I went to a dealership last night and spec'd out a 2015 Charger, and he said he could order it for me, but we couldn't haggle on price because Dodge hadn't yet released pricing.
Dodge says the 2015 Charger has 10 different wheel designs but I can't even see what they are! (I would be ordering an SXT AWD with the Rallye Appearance Group, code ASC, if that helps at all)
