First photos of the next-generation Chrysler minivans have been released, along with its name: Chrysler Pacifica.

The Pacifica name was used in the 2000s for a crossover based on the company minivans, and was based on the company’s now-closed West Coast design studio, where the LH series was created.

The Pacifica has a 200-like appearance, predicted by several sources well ahead of pilot production, and a greatly upgraded interior, even on base models. The feature list appears to include an in-car vacuum, HID headlamps, ten-inch second-row screens, parking assistance, all the safety gizmos Chrysler has, and, as predicted by Allpar, new folding/stowing seats and better side doors.

    See our full coverage.

As I said in the other post, not a minivan guy, but it's a good looking van. Great job Chrysler.

Wow, I almost nailed it (plugin hybrid part).

Good looking van, in and out. Looks better in red, though!

I love the looks but I'm still shocked by the name.

Love it also and I was surprised by the name change also....But it does make sense though if you're going to reinvent your brand might as well use a different name. MotorTrend reports it has the PUG two-step valve lift intake camshafts, cooled exhaust-gas recirculation, and friction reductions

Not a minivan guy by any means, but its pretty sharp...and definitely better in red. I understand about the name change...don't know if I agree or disagree, but certainly understand why. Interior looks very nice.

It does. Autoblog mentions it in their hybrid article.

I hope those weight savings a sign to come for future FCA products! 300 pounds less while growing an inch longer, an inch wider and adding more content is pretty impressive!

not bad...although the rear end styling leaves me a bit cold. i also question the use of pacifica. that name seems more appropriate on a future chrysler LX/LY crossover, at least to me anyway. hopefully all the BUGS will be worked out before the leasing/buying public get their hands on 'em! i'm still worried a bit about the 9hp. :-(

    What a beautiful minivan...wow!!!

But Pacifica...here we go with name changing...might help in Canada selling the "Chrysler" minivan as the Town & Country is more related to high end and expensive ( it is! )
