FCA tells me my spouse's 2017 Renegade could lose fuel pressure and come to a stop while driving when using E-10 regular gasoline. The culprit is the fuel pump module. Currently there is no fix. FCA will notify me by mail when a fix becomes available.

What to do in the mean time. Use E-85 fuel only. I gassed up this AM. Jeep computer showed 24.0 mpg on this tank of E-10. Pencil and paper calculated at 24.1 mpg. A few blocks of city driving, the Jeep's computer now shows 16.8 mpg with the E-85. Ouch!

My previous flex fuel 200 got dismal mileage burning 2 tanks of E-85 with the same power train as the Jeep.

Most people post that E85 with its lower cost and lower MPGs works out to about the same overall cost of E10.

My E85 cost was $1.849. E10 was $1.999. I'll run through the tank and check the computer at fill up and calculate with pencil and paper. My past 2 checks with the 200 showed less cost burning E10.
