Anyone got a shot of InViolet yet? I'm curious, and wondering if it's a repeat of Blackberry Pearl but under a new name?

InViolet was another name for Plum Crazy (Plymouth vs. Dodge). That's my guess - but I loved Blackberry Pearl and wish I still had my Blackberry Pearl Challenger.

I think the InViolet has been nixed. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere recently.
I went with the Octane Red. Looking forward to seeing it in person. In my driveway... :D

No, because there isn't one. It's not available.

I don't know how I feel about this color. I like it on the cars but, from the pictures I have seen of the Durango, I'm just not thrilled about it.

It's not the same as seeing it come down the line, Suz. :) In a sea of mostly boring colors, this should brighten up the plant.

Four variations on gray, one red, one blue... but there will be precious few reds and blues made compared to all the grays.

I never understood why Chrysler did that. I debated between the Granite and Max Steel for my 2014 RT because I felt they were the only different shades. I ended up with the Max Steel but would really have liked a nice, deep red instead.

Well now you have Octane Red! Time to trade!
The Max steel has more blue in it. I love that color.

I do, too. Especially since it's rare to see another Durango in that color.
As for trading in my '14 R/T, it's already in the works...:)

Be wonderful if the IIHS safety rating went up, the low score really hurts people looking for that. No longer are 3 and 4 star ratings exceptable to many families looking for this type of vehicle. the RAM 1500 and up have the same problem.

Yet sales continue to be excellent for both vehicles. Both the Durango and Ram 1500 have an overall 4 Star safety rating by the NHTSA. The full crash test data is available if needed.

I see no issue at this time. Both vehicles are very safe vehicles.

Safety ratings are like a first impression. When a new model is released and gets the top rating, the achievement tends to stay with the live of the vehicle even after the (unofficial) safety standards are raised. I also think most consumers can be swayed by violent crash test videos just as easily as cash on the hood, fancy graphics packages, or a competent sales staff.

Until they do a comparison test between vehicles and publish the poor results of older designs versus newer designs.
