Yes but like Mike said, sales are up, so the new vs old crash testing doesn't exactly correlate with sales. Can it hurt sales, sure, but there is conflicting information being reported on whether or not vehicles are "safe". Current Rams get 4 and 5 star official ratings plus marginal and good unofficial ratings. What does Joe and Jane Consumer think when the same truck gets a spread of 4 out of 5 ratings points? My hope is they would educate themselves and make a good decision. I think reality is safety is just part of the buying equation for most consumers and the reputation of a vehicles safety is more powerful than a spot check. YMMV.:)

Well, considering my Liberty is pretty much a rolling death trap by today's strandards, I'm not really swayed too much if Durango doesn't get perfect scores. Safety standards are always changing so what's considered very good today, may be not so much tomorrow. If Durango is still getting decent scores now after being on the market for so long (yes, updated along the way) then that's pretty good in my book. :)

I'll definitely be considering one next year. Wait...next year...I keep saying that...is there an echo in here?? :D

Agree, and what I did back in 2006 when shopping for a family car. The higher safety rating was on the 300 with the side air bags which were included in the Heritage trim which is why I decided on that trim package.

FCA US handed out press vehicles for the Dream Cruise this year, usual they are SEMA concepts and what not but the Detroit Bureau Chief of Cars.com is driving this Durango SRT.

Can they not get the driver side hood and fender line at the headlight to line up at the factory?
My '14 was the same way. :(

I see that some dealerships are starting to receive the '18 Durangos. Does anyone have a pic (or 2) of Platinum Citadel?
