I just built and priced an extended 4x4, Black Label edition. $99,000+

I think that this is where Jeep is aiming with the Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer.

I have trouble getting excited about Lincoln because they have a stigma attached to their name that is worse than Buick's.

Fall 2019 would be 2 years. You then proceeded to say you and red rider were saying the same thing, even though you said 3-4.

Well this is leaving out all the delays with Alfa and Maserati. I'm confident management is doing what they have to stay afloat, just makes me not believe any release dates. I'd love to be a Wagoneer owner.

But that's a problem with any luxury brand that has a mainstream sibling brand IMO. Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus, VW/Audi, etc. But some people will buy that luxury brand and never consider the mainstream brand no matter how small the differences may be. It's good for the automakers because they can use the platform for multiple vehicles and extract a higher margin on the luxury version...at least in theory.

I don't mind that these luxury brands are gussied up versions on their mainstream brands. To me, it's just like buying a higher trim level that comes with a different front and rear fascia, and other amenities (that may or may not be available in the mainstream version). Of course the level of similarity varies from brand to brand.

I didn't know the Grand Wagoneer was that far out. Looks like it'll be competing with the next gen Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade.

Fall 2019 is not set in stone and that would still be a 2020 model year vehicle which is three years. This vehicle will not be built until the plant has been renovated which has not begun yet and will take some time to complete.

Now can we move on because I am not interested in arguing with you over semantics.

A close friend of mine texted me this evening to let me know he placed his order on a SRT Durango with no firm date of delivery. I hope it arrives soon so I can post my impressions in this thread along with a comparison to my RR Sport Supercharged. I fully expect the Durango to have far better body control as mine is not an SVR model. I'm interested in power delivery differences since they have a similar 0-60 time.

I can only read your posts for what they say and you did not say model years in your original post. Glad we were able to get to the bottom of this one several posts later.

Anyone got an idea about the new 7" stereo, is it replacing all 5" radios?

It's listed under "Standard Content on All Trims" so I'd assume it's the new base Uconnect system. Better for the newly required back-up camera plus they get to advertise standard CarPlay and Android Auto.

If you look at the Allpar Compass page, you should find pics of it there.

It looks and works like the 8.4... only smaller.

Sooo...there's a possibility of a 6-passenger Wrangler-styled Wagoneer that's got solid axles and is BOF? Thanks for keeping hope alive! (Now sticking my fingers in my ears and pretending I can't hear anything else that's said). :p

No. Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer (WS) will be based on the Ram 1500. They will be body on frame, however they will have a modified air ride suspension on 4X4 offroad models, but expect IFS at least. Wrangler (JL) will continue its solid front axle.
