Actually FCA and the dealer are the ones out of luck with a lost sale. I can always buy used. I'd much rather have to buy wheels and have seats recovered on a $20k car than a $40k one.

Why not buy a SXT with the caramel interior and then buy wheels later?

Unfortunately though, you are in the minority. And a handful lost sales to FCA is not worth the expense of adding a new wheel design or finish.

The same wheels that are black or gray designs today weren't a couple of years ago.

No, I'm not the average buyer. I've bought far more new FCA products since 2012 than the average buyer.

I've said my piece, FCA can alter their options offering to make a car I want or I'll buy something else. I'll live without a new car.

Yes, but if not many people bought them why go to the trouble of coating them with another finish? I haven't seen many of my wheels which are the silver/black wheels from the 2015 Charger with the premium package or the R/T Road & Track. Those wheels continued to exist in black for the Blacktop package on the Challenger and Charger. For some reason, the silver version was never offered on the Challenger.

Yes sir... sorry they don’t offer what you want, maybe next time.

Edit: the R/T Classic is still available with polished wheels. You could buy that or have the dealer swap wheels from a Classic to the vehicle you prefer?

Ford tried to cater to every single customer by having hundreds and hundreds of combinations on each model.. it killed their margins and productivity etc. (not to mention left undesired cars on lots for extended periods) Now their new model has completely flipped to only offering the most popular combinations

I'm with Valiant67. I dislike black wheels and also will not buy a vehicle with them. I did settle on a charcoal gray on the Charger Rallye. I'll not go aftermarket for wheels because they are too expensive. I understand the current market is black. I'll be glad when the market shifts back away from black..... I feel for you, agree with you, and understand your frustration. Fortunately, I'm not in the market for anything right now and I'm not trying to equip a specific vehicle with specific features as he is.....

Well I see you’ve proven my point...

Abuse of power is never a good thing.

Is this about the 2019 Challenger or I s it a general discussion page about everything Dodge sells?

I intentionally do not click on, read, or post in, any thread that I am not personally interested in.

I clicked this one because I’m interested in the upcoming changes to the Challenger.

I did what I was told multiple times to do, and MY post was deleted...

You’re not making this page better, you’re making it look bad...

    Who are you talking to???

The discussion about what is offered has provided lots of details about what the packages for the 2019 Challenger contain.

I can understand how limited interior options could potentially kill a sale, but with something easily removable like wheels, a little effort to horse trade with the dealer or a private swap/sell seems pretty reasonable if someone wants the vehicle. If not, no problem. It's still a semi free country.:)

huh....I went to build one and it didn't show up in the Build & Price tool. I'll see if I can find a way to get to it....

EDIT: Found it - package is only available on RT Plus....

It’s an option for 2019. I do not believe it was available in 2018.

It's an option in 2018 - but only on the RT Plus cars, not the regular RT
