I thought I would make one thread for the redesign Charger, Challanger and 300. Now that we know its not a rumor we can put it in Mopar News Section.

Im for one am excited for the the redesign. This may be the first car I buy in full cash as I have enough time to save without financing.
Secondly im assuming the 300 will remain RWD and be built at brampton like it is today but that is an assumption.
Lastly Thank you FCA for giving the 300 life beyond the current design. (now if you could slide in a 392 we can best friends lol)

Mods if you disagree with this thread please delete, I just thought it would be better to have it like this than to have 10 different threads all over allpar forums.

I thought the model years was 2021 for charger and challenger and 2022 for the 300 I'm assuming.

So likely only the charger and challenger and my guess would be the 300 gets the more updated L chassis that Maseratti is using. Should it indeed stay.

I think it would be the 300 getting a refresh and the charger and challenger keep their designs till the all new car comes out. No reason to refresh a car when it's only for a year or two at most

Refresh sounds an awful lot like the L cars will soldier on. G based cars seem to be delayed. I hope we can get a clarification on the timeline.

@oh2o had said in a different thread when I had made a comment about not being able to wait until G Charger due to the widebody Charger being announced - something along the lines of "you would have been waiting for a long time."

Me thinks "G" Charger/Challenger are a long ways away.

Dodge ain't going anywhere. It's funny actually I was thinking about this the other day.

I was watching "The Punisher" on Netflix (phenomenal btw) and early in the series there is a Redline Dodge Challenger SXT. Beautiful car. Over the past 3 years or so I feel as though FCA has had a ton of presence in Hollywood, video games, and pop-culture. It is clear that FCA is proud of these products, and I am perplexed that they are not investing in a product they are clearly so proud of.

I never said Dodge was going anywhere. I meant that it might not be on a G platatecture.

The lease on my '16 Charger ends in 6/19. Sounds like I will miss the refresh unless it is released as an early '20.

I'm so lost. I thought the refresh was dead and we were getting the complete redesign in 2021?

It ain’t official till it’s official. Refresh is back on for now and all new designs are pushed back. Don’t count on this being the last reevaluation of the L cars either. I can’t figure out if FCA is nimble on its feet or staggering about in a daze.

While i cant say im thrilled to hear that considering if not for Dodge Alfa would not be getting these new vehicles so I guess like many others on here are thinking. When is there likely to be concrete commitment to using the GUS architecture for new dodge and chrysler cars.

I'm getting more and more inclined in believing they're staggering around in a daze.
    No new Charger/Challenger/300 until 2021?

I wonder if they're having trouble adapting this car to use a V8 which it was never intended to use. Poor Alfa, with 6 billion spent they'll still be using it for another 50 years if they can't figure out how to amortize it.

To standardize the SRT appearance across all trim levels I assume?
