    Hi All

Rarely (if ever) have I initiated a thread like this but I have to ask, any news? More of the same design would be good. I'm looking for a new match to my 1971 so no problems here (in purple, please).

We're solidly in the second quarter of the year (April 2020). It seems as though we should already have a good idea what will be in store for the third quarter of the year (August 2020).

We should see the new charger in 22, for a 23 model year. So I’d expect To see a Redeye in 20 for my 21, with trickle down goodies for 22.

So if a new Charger were to occur in '22 the the same timing for Challenger, right?

I’m no insider, just doing my best to regurgitate the info posted over the site to you. As far as I understand, the new cars would be simultaneously produced.

With everything that is going on I would not be surprised if the new twins were delayed until calendar 2023 as a 2024 MY vehicle.

Not that it would be a surprise, but what leads you to that? I would’ve guessed the date being within a year or so, the wheels would already be in motion. As far as I know, the new grand Cherokee and three row variant, along with the trx are all going to debut as scheduled

IDK about those other models but the twins have been delayed quite a bit whether refresh or new model and it sounded not too long ago like FCA didn't even have the platform sorted out. I was honestly thinking about this the other day. I hope they're not delayed but I wouldn't be surprised either.

    Sometimes delays feel that long.

I'm thinking that the biggest influence on the timing of the refresh/redesign, etc., would have to be the "merger." Things like this don't just happen in a few months. There would have had to have been some planning that could have preceded the merge by as much as 2 years (Sergio died unexpectedly in July of 2018, by the way).

Modern CEO's gravitate to mergers/buyouts like insects to bright light. I guess Bob Eaton will take to the grave what he was thinking when he sold out Chrysler but I digress....

If it is true that the powers that be were already positioning the company for a buyout around 2 years ago then it's likely that the decision was made back then to leave things alone until the dirty deed was complete. And so we now still have our current LC/LD vehicles un-redesigned for now.

That could very well be, but we are getting new models, Jeep for example, but I digress, could be .

If Chevy is coming out with a 1000hp Zora Corvette will Dodge answer with a 1000hp Hellcat and move the engine into the trunk? :)

Did you mean 3023/3024 ???? That might be more credible.

A Corvette with 1000hp? That is overkill unless the car is meant to pull a freight train. How can a person use 1000hp on public roads? Tires can only grip the pavement so much. A Corvette with 400hp would probably beat it in every single performance category.
