Winter is coming so I am thinking to buy Goodyear, Ultragrip Winter tires for my 02 GC Sport.
Goodyear is running special on those, 4 tires (including tire mounting, valve stems or TPMS kit, lifetime balancing and FREE alignment check), $310 out the door
Does anybody have any experience with this tires?

    Never heard of them.
How do they rate on tirerack.com ???

Are they being discontinued, hence the blow out pricing??

Or are they old stock? You really have to be careful of that. Old tires are no good. Lots of bad old tires being sold on sale... Tire Rack does label them so use caution even when buying from them!

Goodyear Ultragrip seems to get good ratings. I only ever had them on one car I picked up to resell and sold it before bad weather hit.

I had a set on my 13 Dart for three winters, I was reluctant, having never been a fan of Goodyear tires, but the price was too good to ignore, turns out they were amazing in the snow.

Tell us how they work out.

I've never used dedicated winter tires here, N. of Detroit.
My all season Continentals work well on the '13 Caravan.

On my wife's Jeep and my sons Dart we use winter tires due to those cars being the main mode transportation. We have an old beater that we use winter rated all season tires and they work good too but not as well as dedicated winter tires. How much winter driving are you going to do to have a second set of tires? If a car has AWD and winter rated all season tires, you'll only need the one set. We live with 6 months of winter conditions so one could say winter tires are a benefit but also the cost to have 8 sets of tires is way to much for this pocket. Just some food for thought. If you only deal with a couple months of winter driving I would be looking into a set of winter rated all seasons.

Small change of plans (well, not so small, lol)
Original plan was to install winter tires and then, somewhere in spring time, to get 4 more (used ) wheels with new tires again.
    But,
Since it wouldn't be so much driving on the snow, I decided (correct reading: wife said so) to get all seasons tires.
Got 4 Integrity tires, installation and road hazard for $414.04
I could not believe (still can't) how much smoother ride is with those tires.
Put around 100 miles on them today, just to test them.
    So far, so good.

    No major breaking, yet.
Few times, on empty road I would step on break pedal, just to see how it is.
It was raining and I didn't notice any problems.
Have to say, not bad, not bad at all.
