    And which platform? Theoretically two different platform could share assembly line.

    I see the tradition of ludicrously wide and tall consoles leaving no knee room for someone with longer legs is continuing, if not being made even worse with those triangular vertical pieces at the front.
    This is getting way too common.

    Triangle parts = central tunnel sides that connect it to the console in the zone at the side of air conditioning controls. Not the front of the car.

    Since you reacted rather than read, let me show you those "triangular vertical pieces at the front" of the console. it has NOTHING to do with the front end of the car.

    Then why say "Front"??. that was the Confusion. also you could just pull the seat back if you have longer legs. Another thing.. if you looking for Long Leg Support and in other cases, A Compact CUV isnt for you.

    I believe those are there provide additional protection to the knees in a crash, particularly in a side impact where the body moves across the cabin, not forwards.

    As someone else with long legs, I'd offer that they're not the biggest problem - the problem is how the upper dash drops down to meet these parts, leaving very little room for the "inside" knee under the dash. It's made worse in rear-drive cars because the transmission shaft makes that whole central tunnel taller and wider.

    That said, I didn't notice this to be a problem in Giulia - there was good room for my legs and particularly my knees. This hasn't been the case in other cars. A lot depends on the seats and the overall width of the footwell.

    Front of the console, duh.

    And no, the seat and steering wheel won't go back far enough. It's far from limited to this vehicle. Most large cars have the same problem.
