That's cause there was no SRT back then. It was PVO I think? And idr their directive, honestly. The prowler was cool, but I would never consider it an SRT.

The first SRT product was the neon in 03, I'm pretty sure.

Did you ever put a turbo motor in a Sebring/Stratus convertible? That would've been a nice ride...

The 2.4 Turbo was available in Mexico on the J series cloud cars from the mid 90s all the way thru the mid 2000s.

Used to see them in Texas all the time.

Note, also the rear spoiler which to my knowledge, also was not avaliable in regular production.

    Very cool, indeed.

It became a Mopar Accesories Part. It was a good looking spoiler.

I guess I don't get it. It's just a PT GT - it was a production model, I saw one just yesterday, and I have the first version (those in the pics are the later version) of the 17" alloy wheels (very similar to the Eagle Alloys 192 wheels) on my Sebring...

You might be able to make the argument based on statements of intention from the originators that it was an SRT prototype - which based on what has been presented is acceptable..

You can definitely, soundly state that it was a proof of concept/pilot/prototype that never came to be for regular production.

Either way it's desireable, worthy of preservation and I'd buy it if made available..

Does anyone think there will ever be an AWD Challenger? The V6 would be good enough.
Daughter is wanting a Challenger but wants AWD.
And no, the Charger isn't an option.
She thinks the front end of the Charger is ugly.

    Doubt it

Maybe she is just telling you that so you are not upset with her if she bought one :)

    I am just kidding ;)

Exactly... It's a production PT GT Cruiser... No SRT model in any shape, form, or engineering.

He's fabricated a story and he's a prime example of "up badging".

How long has "Mr. Source" worked in Toluca?

I know a Chrysler Engineer that worked in Toluca.

Don't know if he works in Toluca he seems to be more management for Chrysler in Mexico but that's a better question for him

And unless you can prove this, you might want to drop the accusations.
