I concur. Maybe a tune and DRs away from 11s for that money, damn.
Agreed. I feel bad for those who have just bought the SRT Core models in the past weeks... this car is killer!
Wait till you see the new SRT Hell Cat Chargers! They look awesome. .....and I love the Challengers!!
You know something we don't?
The other day, in the parking lot at Rouch, there were several new Chargers in full camo, except for 1, and it looked awesome !!
Ahhh, lucky you... looks like I might be driving down to Livonia to see it!
pick me up on the way !! :excited:
Depends where you're at Joe...
Does anyone know if production for the Hellcat Challengers has started yet?
Production was supposed to start on August 10th.
Were Kuniskis & Co. ever asked if they considered the viper V10 instead of an all-new v8 like they ended up doing? MoparAction had an article indicating dropping the the V10 into the LX body (such as how they did the SRT10 Challenger) was a fairly simple, cheap affair, and was barely heavier than the 6.1 to boot.
Same exact reason what we were talking about in the "Supercharged Viper" thread. The Viper motor is maxed out for performance in its current configuration in order to meet EPA guidelines. Viper either needs more displacement or boost to get the job done. While I love the Challenger SRT-10 Concept, the SRT HELLCAT would smoke the pants off of it.
Are you sure about that? The srt10 had the '09 600-hp motor and ran "mid 11's" according to the creators. If it had the 640-hp version it would've been faster still. So maybe a few tenths slower than the hellcat. Also significantly lighter in the front end. Apparently.
