    Wow, that's a real SWELL looker! :D

On a slightly different note, I saw a lifted Caprice wagon (mid 90's??) the other day on my way to work. It had off-road tires and everything. I wish I had gotten a picture. I should install a dash cam...I see some real head scratchers around here and I can never get a pic! Lol

The 2011+ Compass shares headlights with 2011-2013 Grand Cherokee.

You missed the original post or are misunderstanding me.

Durango (well known) and Compass are the two vehicles that shared lighting and other components with existing, popular vehicles.

Sorry I guess I could have been more clear.

I actually kind of liked it.
Toyota also did a similar thing with the Toyota Porte & Toyota Spade, although Toyota has a single sliding door on the passenger side , while 2 hinged doors on the drivers side.

It certainly has some interesting features. The sliding doors would definitely make for easier access as opposed to the standard doors on small cuv's.

Can't and won't get into too many details but the new minivan is beautiful. It is going to get rid of the minivan stigma. If this is priced right Chrysler won't be able to build enough of them. The RU is not a just a home run, it is an out of the park grand slam! Congrats to everyone who had a hand in designing this product! Good job!

I knew they were similar but I didn't think they were the exact same.

Durango and minivans shared the tail lights and didn't the 1st gen. Durango use Dakota lights and grill as well?

First Gen Durango was essentially a Dakota up front, unique in the middle, then a minivan in the back. It was a great job of reusing parts to get a new vehicle.

I'll take '95 Grand Caravan vs '98 Durango for $1000.

My understanding is that the "plug" is not really required, but is present for the extra tax credits.

Tax credits are based on Kw/H capacity, but yeah, nowadays it has to have a plug.

They will begin production in early 2016 as 2017 model year vehicles.
