Have you seen the setup on the ACR? A 10-setting, double-adjustable Bilstein coilover racing shocks with up to three inches of height adjustment.

Offering upgrades for the non-ACR Viper's is cool though.

I know we offer Pirelli's on the Street models, and Kumho's on the ACR.

I'm asking because wasn't Pirelli supposedly going to find a tire compound and tread design to be competitive with Michelin Pilot Cup tires? That effort seemed to go strangely silent . Did they ever make any progress toward a 1:1 competitive tire? Seems as though the Michelin Cup tires stand alone - at least thus far they're in a class by themselves.

Tires go hand-in-glove with suspension, so I ask.

FCA products from 30 years kind of suck compared with many offered today as well. I wouldn't drive a Wrangler YJ, for example. The AR bashing is kind of stupid, folks.

30 years ago was 1985, right? I don't want to offend anyone but... compare a Diplomat with a Charger... thirty years is a long time. (In terms of quality, I guess you'd be looking at the electronic feedback carb systems.)

Don't even get me started on the Holley EFC. BTW nobody makes the metering piece any more and when they fail they default full rich. Will not pass emissions.

Yes, i have seen the ACR setup. The magic of the Tractive setup is in the dampers and their controller (which is plug and play on the Viper and can even be set up to use the stock suspension mode buttons). I'm thinking Viper Exchange was going to develop a package for the ACR as well.

Ok but you can go back five to ten years and the reviews of AR were basically great design poor quality . Past performance is an indicator of future behavior.

This may be true for the 159, but the Mito and more so the Giulietta both showed improvement in quality.

The Guilia will have to speak for itself.

If quality IS good, there is a chance to erase the U.S. perception of what Alfa used to be. If quality is bad though, it will reinforce that perception and make the mountain almost impossible to climb. No pressure! :p

Yes and I agree completley. I

To be clear, I am not in any way giving Alfa a pass, I am simply stating that they have seen some improvement and it should be noted as such. The Guilietta's cousins, the U.S. built Dart, 200, & Cherokee, has been fairly good so we shall see.

Like I said, the Guilia will need to speak for itself and only time will tell.

Also Is optimistic. Mito reviews relay inferior interiors and no one is wild bout the TCT transmission, overall compared to segment rivals not as much value but higher purchase price.

It was 2008... Guilia will have to speak for itself.

And it still debuted in 2008 and is on the list to be replaced. The Mito is old, of course it will get negative reviews in 2015.

You are cherry picking to fit your argument and not telling the whole story.

Viper Exchange offers a very nice upgrade for the non-ACR Vipers as well. I believe it is a KW adjustable setup.

I have not cherry picked anything. The statement was that Mito showed improvement. According to the recent reviews it had not.

Comments about the faults are consistent. Now passing that off to age once again takes us into rationalization.
