If they're making another BOF suv they should release the Chrysler based version insiders posted sketches of a few years ago.

Haven't heard anything about a Ram. There's no point with the Durango and Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer covering those segments.

With those body on frame big SUVs taking it on the chin in the marketplace, I fear as FCA chases after that market segment it will be a repeat of the 1970s E-body debacle. They were great vehicles which didn't sell.

Definitely my fear as well. Worried that FCA will be caught with their pants down if gas prices ever go crazy again.

I just don't see how a large BOF SUV fits Dodge's image any better than a minivan does.

As for the people calling Caravan (2008) and Journey (2009) old designs, that's the same range as Challenger (2008).

Will be interesting to see if they can sell more Super Stocks than they sold Demons....

Just drove my 14 years old Magnum SRT8 today. Still such a joy...

Then whats the point of the Wagoneer? FCA dealerships will be confusing just like Buick/Caddy and GMC Dealers

Yup, it's quite obvious they should've updated the interior of the Caravan and Journey, and placed the Hellcat in them. This could've bought them two more years in the market. Talk about a wasted opportunity...

Thanks. Then it makes more sense, since it still has two years left in the market.
IMO, they should've done a deeper exterior restyling as well. Similarly to the Jeep Cherokee.

Challenger got an all new interior for 2015, new front and rear fascias, and has received quite a few powertrain updates since 2008 as well. I couldn’t tell a 2011 Journey apart from a 2019 a couple weeks ago when we got one as a trade-in.

But yet Caravan has as much of a restyle outside from 2008 as Challenger has had. Notice that each new special edition Challenger is creating less and less buzz than the one before?

I agree with you that the special editions are getting tiresome.

The Challenger has been kept up to date much better than the Caravan and Journey, though. I think some would argue that the Challenger exterior is still pretty cool as the only true muscle car left. Personally, I want a new exterior design though.

Because in 2004-2006, Ram trucks were still under the Dodge brand at the tail end of the DCX failed merger.

Ram didn’t become its own brand until 2009/2010.

Special editions eventually hit the problem of diminishing returns... There's only so much they can do to keep hyping people up with such an old model.

This is the landing page on the Jeep Wrangler Build and Price. It doesn’t even show High Altitude; I can’t get all the trims and special editions to show on one screen. This doesn’t even account for the different motors, transmissions, transfer cases, tops, packages and individual options and colors you can get.

The JL forums regularly gets posts from those new to Wrangler overwhelmed by the options asking for help figuring out what to buy.

I can’t imagine anyone at FCA believes this to be helpful. Ridiculous.
