Haha that is a great idea! Cold air intake is first and go from there.

The factory intake is already a cold air intake.

'Cause they buy into what K&N is selling and think the factory set up couldn't possibly be the best CAI.

I have never bought a k&n in my life. Also alot of vehicles benefit from cold air intakes. Anyways..... still going to add one.

The sound I like is the throaty rumble of a Hemi V8. :D

I used K&N as an example. Pretty sure they are others. Use whatever floats your boat. Not saying vehicles don't benefit from CAI's. Just that the factory setup is pretty much the best set up when fuel mileage, power and longevity are all factored in.

I tried a drop-in K&N years ago. Filter and cleaning kit were $55. I drove it 30K miles and it made zero difference in power and gas mileage. What it did do was require more labor. Cleaning, drying and re-oiling take 2 hours according to the instructions. For the same money, I could have bought 7 air filters lasting 200K miles, and in total requiring 4 minutes of labor. Absolute waste of money, but go for it if you perceive a benefit. Keeps the economy going.

Update on the charger talked to my tuner he said he can get an extra 30 horsepower with a 93 octane tune. The 3.6 already runs so good but who doesn't want more power?!

Diablo 93 octane tune and a cold air intake , the sound alone is worth it ! The 93 octane tune is great better mpg and alot more hp. Definitely worth the money this thing hauls on the highway!

With the newer NA V-6's now putting out as much hp. as the stock early Hemi's, why not go with them for the better economy......unless your a horsepower junkie. I've modded all 3 of my Hemi's so they're around 420-460 hp. and the two with MDS get about 25% better fuel economy than they did stock......but doing all this wasn't cheap and a slightly modified V-6 would now probably be more than adequate if it weren't for the fact that I tend to keep my vehicles almost forever.
