I assume this is a pretty basic car, since you mention mat and no carpet.
There is no spatter paint. I think everything is body color, then there is an black coating, more like an under coating than paint.

Some cars did come with spatter paint in the trunk, which is why he asked.
Can't remember what my dad's 79 Aspen had.

I think the spatter was gone by the time of these cars. It's a shame they seldom show good interior shots of the trunks in the promo photos. And when they do they are the fully carpeted ones.

Based upon my memories of Mopar vehicles from the late '60's to mid '70's; the trunk interior was not usually painted to the quality standards of the exterior. Runs were pretty common, particularly on the wheel wells, and the underside of the fender top may have just overspray on it. I remember black undercoating sprayed on the inside of the fender, from 2-3 inches above the trunk floor down into the lower quarter panel area. The body color would have been sprayed over that, fading out at or slightly below the level of the trunk floor. It really looked like they handed a guy the paint gun and told him to hit the inside of the trunk, and you've got 15 seconds. Trunk mat would have been gray, with a black pattern, maybe fine squares, I really don't remember for sure, but it was gray/black.
Underside of mat was black. Underside of the trunk lid was fully painted, wouldn't be uncommon to see a couple drips hanging.

My brother's 77 Aspen R/T had body color with a gray mat. My cousins 78 Volare had body color with gray mat too.
