Update...yesterday morning I rerouted, and added, all the hoses to their proper locations. At the same time I organized these hoses in a more orderly manner the best I could. Also the heater hoses were hooked up wrong, so I corrected this too. Now, the crankcase vapors are flowing in the right direction and I have great suction at the PCV valve. The car idles much better and has improved drivability. Thanks for all you input!
