They should have gone back to conventional taillights seeing they are having a big problem keeping water out of those racetrack taillights . A lot of people on the Durango boards are not happy they have to replace them when they are only a few years old and that assembly is like $1000 to replace . They look great but not if you have to replace them and some people are saying Maxcare warranties are not covering them .

Can someone take off the cover? It hides the new styling. :)

A few years ago, someone said the racetrack tail lights look like an upside down phone and I can't get that image out of my head, though I do still like them. They are very distinctive at night.

Gotta say, I love the lighting on my Durango, continues to help set it apart from everything else. I've always thought Durangos have a very fresh look for the segment, despite being old.

So with the Durango and all other FCAs getting the etorque, will the charger and challenger see it too on the 3.6 and 5.7 in 2021?

    Dang...it does.
One thing is for sure, you're not going to hide from the police...you can see that light bar a mile away.

She needs some interior updates...or at least give the stitched dash in a trim other than the SRT.

    That is already available.

If nothing else, maybe it will get a flush touch screen like the 2019 Grand Cherokee.

Totally agree with you. That race track lighting is very distinctive. (same on the Charger). Don't get rid of them......make 'em so they don't leak !!!!

So are we to assume now that a Durango replacement is at least another two or three years away? I don't know why they'd refresh it if it was going to be one year only.

Exactly, and this goes against all the justifications made for not refreshing the front clip on the large cars. I don't get this.

    From Mopar Insiders:
"The 2021 Dodge Durango will be built alongside the all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) in the third quarter of this year. Expect the current Dodge Durango to live on through 2022, when the nameplate will go to a new body-on-frame variant based on the upcoming Jeep Wagoneer for 2023."

Does anyone think that a bof Durango is a done deal? I ask because this refresh IMHO, gives the upcoming new Jeeps at Warren a chance to fill the plant without a Durango twin. If by some chance they could then the current one could be put out to pasture after the sales fall off at some point and retired.

So three more calendar years production for current Durango; the new Grand Cherokee that will begin production in third quarter 2020, will it be two row or three row variant? I forget which will be built first.

Pretty sure the 3-row is coming first.

agree. A mild refresh of the charger/challenger would have been nice. Especially if the Durango is getting a new front and updated powertrain
