Honestly, this board is pretty well moderated compared to most I've joined. Usually it's full-on anarchy before any mods get involved in cleaning up threads.

I was at the Pittsburgh Auto Show last week. I sat in a new Explorer ST, 51K sticker. The quality of the console area was horrible. Hard plastics and poor fit of the parts. It reminded me of the '05 - 07 LX cars hard plastic interiors. The current Durango and GC interiors are way better than the Explorer. With the dash redesign, I'm sure the Durango will be way better than Explorer inside. Even the Blazer put the Ford to shame.

I had the same reaction, I disliked the center console plastic so much that when a Ford representative approached I pointed towards the interior and said: “Really?”. And that one was around $60k. I am usually not that picky about interiors but am wondering how they want to compete against Kia and Hyundai with this. Our GC is a lot nicer inside...

Speaking of hard plastics. Was at a car show yesterday and someone had a 1988 MJ Comanche. Those old style soft vinyl top/carpet bottom door panels were still in great shape.
I can't see any hard plastic door panels holding up like that.

With the hellcat or will it use electric and conventional power to match the hellcat performance?

So I know the pandemic has slowed things to a crawl but with ordering for the 2021 models opening up soon when is FCA going to reveal the updated Durango? Or is it safe to assume the update with be a 2021.5 model?

    It should be revealed soon.

The 2020 Durango and Grand Cherokee are ending production on 09/12 and the 2021 Grand Cherokee (still WK2) is starting production on 09/14, but the 2021 Durango isn't going into production until 10/05. If I had to guess, I'd say the delay is because the 2021 Durango will be the refreshed model when production starts back up.

No worries, I was just curious. My wife saw a white Durango in a video by one of the YouTubers she follows and is now enthralled. And we’ve been considering an AWD Pacifica. So we’ve got some options.

I'll say it again. The Durango is still one if not the best looking SUV's out there. Distinctive and not a 'lookalike'.

The one thing I wish they’d change about Durango is to be able to get cloth seats (or synthetic leather/suede) with an RT. Other than that, carry on.

Any word on when ordering will open for the 21's? Definitely interested in an R/T with the Tow n' Go package.

Such a silly naming choice for the package. Riffing on the name of a seating option for a minivan now sold under a different brand.
