Check Engine Light (All of a Sudden)

    I would look for any vacuum hoses that are hard, brittle, and possibly cracked. If the hose gets hard it may not stay on the nipple and seal properly.

    I have seen vacuum hoses get hard and split at the ends.

    That is good advice. My '88 Shadow ran a lot better after I went through and replaced a whole bunch of vacuum hoses.
