The rear end reminds me of the Tonale concept. It’s a cool concept vehicle, it should make those happy who have said FCA never does concept vehicles. Maybe. :D

Get rid of the lower wheel skirting, add mirrors, marker lights, wipers and real world doors. Then you have a generic SUV with a roomy interior. I like it, we need it.

Looks good. Lack of branding gives them a broad range of brands that way.

    +1 Tin Man 2,

It kind of gives off a wagon-like vibe, which Chrysler could do a medium height CUV like the Outback without all the cladding. They could also make the front air intakes functional and go a little more aggressive on some of the exterior design. Chrysler is supposed to be the more elegant of the NA only market brands, so if they go the route of making premium people movers (ex: GMC and Buick), they'll have strong product to offer.

I'm also curious would they go with a version of the 2.0T eTorque or wait for the new 1.5T hybrid engine, since they planned on Chrysler being their hybrid/tech brand? Btw, did anyone notice the PSA influence with that steering wheel?

If they plan on Chrysler being the hybrid and electronics brand, why are they showing Jeep hybrids?

Jeep is the hottest selling brand they have right now and it only makes sense to use them to launch whatever they have as quickly as possible.

Plus the fact no one from FCA has ever said Chrysler was the hybrid/electric brand that I've ever heard.

The steering wheel shape goes far back in time to the 1961 Chrysler products. When the stylists were checking out the original Airflow for inspiration, they must have also stopped at the early sixties Mopars. This is like the one in my dad's '61 Plymouth. fury61.jpg

Oh, that is a good catch. Perhaps the Airflow is to Chrysler as the Aurora was to Oldsmobile... a new car that looks to remake the brand in it's image with it's own subbranding and all. That's not necessarily a good thing of course! Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this! :)

Correction - The Aurora was the car that was embarrassed to be an Oldsmobile. The (lack of) branding strategy doomed both Aurora and Oldsmobile.

Well, there may be a logic to waiting for the plant shuffle. There's a saying in the military community that applies to whatever degree in any business, and may have an application here: Amateurs talk tactics; professionals talk logistics.

I hope by "generic" you mean a starting point for the different brands and not generic in the sense of blandness.

Interesting. I wonder how the wheels/tires work unless that's a nonfunctional version. It seems to be a combination of Portal and C200.

Reduce the size of the console, get rid of any B-pillar ideas, increase the glass size, keep the openness and build it!

Motor1 is improperly labelling this a Chrysler. FCA made it very clear it is called the FCA Airflow currently. They didn't attach any brand to it.

That said, I am pretty sure this would be a Chrysler.
